Bitcoin Pizza

2 min read

It’s been called Bitcoin Pizza Day, marking the 11th-anniversary date wherein 2010 a Florida man Laszlo Hanyecz paid for two pizzas with bitcoin. He’s also considered to be its very first user and purchaser from an online retailer – which makes him kind of like line relation!
For those who don’t know about this historic event on May 22nd, 2010 when he agreed out 10K bitcoins (at that time worth less than $30)for 2 delivered pizza joints from Papa John’s Pizza.

Imagine how much 10’000 bitcoins would be worth today with an ATH rate of 69k = 690’000’000 USD

WOW!

Nevertheless,Laszlo Hanyecz made history when he released the first-ever Bitcoin download for Mac OS. His contribution has paved the way towards widespread adoption of this digital currency and changed everything in its wake!

He was the first programmer to script GPU mining code for Bitcoin, which he successfully tested and managed to mine with a higher hash rate. He informed Satoshi of his findings but it seems that Satoshi had already ahead in knowing about this advance beforehand because there are reports from users stating they were able Avada 51% attacks thanks largely due to Laszlo’s discoveries on GPU mining capabilities.

He was one of the first people to spend bitcoin, and more followed. Bitcoin until 2013 was growing as a digital currency but it later abandoned this moniker when developers found out that on-chain scaling wasn’t possible due in part because blocks can only be filled up so high before they start overflowing with data – making transaction speeds slow or even obsolete altogether. However, there is another type called “layer two” solutions which include LN ( Lightning Network )and Liquid.

Laszlo never regretted spending his Bitcoin, since this was the ultimate purpose. He knew that it would change digital currency forever and create a new peer-to-peer electronic cash payments network for people all over the world!
